The Story Behind The Letters

The Wanderlust Letters was born from a simple goal: to connect with women around the world by combining our love of exploration and personal growth through writing and photography.

The idea to start a snail mail business evolved during  a trek in Nepal. We realized that sending a quick text to friends and family or uploading images to social media didn't capture all of the 'feels' we were experiencing. It was collecting small artifacts (like a lunch receipt in exotic script or a boarding pass to somewhere we'd never return to), journalling about challenging and joyous moments and laughing about the ridiculousness of life at 50+ that helped us remember what matters most - connection. The Wanderlust Letters is our way of connecting women on the shared journey of being female.

"When I was a young girl, my grandmother and I would send letters to each other. She would include a stick of gum which would be hard and stale by the time I got it ( I chewed it until my jaw ached) or Hello Kitty stickers to add to my collection. I would send her used postage stamps or sketches of my friends. I LOVED the anticipation as much as receiving those letters. I still cherish them to this day!" - Jen

In addition to spreading sunshine through the mail, our mission is to create meaningful impact by dedicating a portion of our proceeds to support women’s charities that empower, uplift, and protect women as they navigate difficult transitions. We are committed to advancing and supporting initiatives that foster independence, safety, and opportunity for women. Through our contributions, we aim to be part of lasting change—helping women build stronger futures for themselves, their families, and their communities.
